Greetings everyone!!! Thanks again for the great chat last night! Jana, Rory and I had a wonderful time, and we are glad to hear that everyone is safe from the dreaded storms and tornados.

The purpose of this post is to let you know that I WILL be at the Dragon*Con, over Labor Day weekend (Aug 31-Sept 3, 2001) in Atlanta GA. I have conversed with Michel about this, and he sounds excited. I DO NOT HAVE A CONFIRMATION from him, but I will bug him until he says yes :) I am going to give Frannie and Michael a call this week and see if they can make it as well.

What I wanted to ask of you is this: JV hits syndication in September. The Con will either be right as the publicity push is happening, or just before. This would be a GREAT time to go to this con, have everyone see the flyers, the buttons, and have Victorian costumes on at the Masquerade Ball that Saturday night (I am also going to be a costume judge, FYI). This is the largest con on the East Coast. All these people coming to see different fandoms who maybe haven't seen JV yet, or heard about it, can see all of you there, hear me (and hopefully a few or all of the others) on the panels there, and we can get the syndication ratings up. Frankly, this is how the show will get a second season...syndication ratings. I think this would be an EXCELLENT opportunity for the fans to come out and help with promoting the show.

So, if you had planned on going to Aurora Con, think about coming to this one. Let's have our own MINI Aurora Con there. I have talked to Kate about this, and we're mulling it over. Not only can we meet and hang out, we have the opportunity to pull in a lot more viewers. Not only can you see a lot of other neat panels and guests and stuff- but we can meet up and dress in our Victorian finest at the Masquerade Ball. Jana did speak to one of the guest coordinators for the Con tonight, who said that the hotel rooms were starting to fill, so...think about it, and I hope to see you there. You have 6 months between now and then! If you need information, go to www.dragoncon.org --they have all the info about prices, hotels, etc. It will be at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Events will be at BOTH the hotels (from what I've heard, they connect). I really hope you guys will think about it. I think it would be great for the show and I, for one, would like to meet everyone.

And I will do my best to talk the rest of the gang into coming.
